The group's name is a combination of the names from all four members: Jo-Jo, DeGrate, and K-Ci.
The group had a successful string of hit singles and platinum albums until the members went on indefinite hiatus after 1996. The Hailey brothers continued to perform together under the pseudonym K-Ci & JoJo, and had success on the pop charts beyond that of the original band. In 2009, the group rebanded for H-Town's song, "Knockin' Da Boots".
It has also been reported that Jodeci is making a slowly but surely comeback to the hearts and souls of the R&B family as said by legendary producer Timbaland.
With having 5 #1 R&B singles "Stay", "Forever My Lady", "Come and Talk To Me", "Cry For You", and lastly a covered rendition of Stevie Wonder's "Lately" They are considered one of the greatest male R&B Groups of all time.
